Merve BULUT YILGÖR from Yildiz Technical University will give a talk titled “DNA Codes" on October 31, 2018, at 15.30 in the room E-2032.

Abstract: The aim of coding theory is to provide efficient and fast information transmission. Algebraic coding theory is a subfield of coding theory and the codes are expressed algebraically. In 1994, it was understood that DNA molecules could be used as a computational tool for Adleman's experiments. In this speech, DNA computation and development of DNA codes on different algebraic structures will be discussed.
